Baked Honeyed Turnips
From NYT Natural Foods Cookbook
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 45-60 minutes
1 medium turnip/rutabaga, peeled and diced
½ cup chicken broth
1-2 tbsp honey
Freshly ground black pepper
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F/170°C.
2. Place all the ingredients in an ovenproof casserole. Toss and cover. Bake until the turnips are tender (at least 45 minutes). Test with a fork for tenderness. Add some more freshly ground pepper and serve.
