Sautéed Garlicky Radish Greens
Not the prettiest picture, I still haven't gotten the hang of things here in Halifax
Prep time: 5 minutes
Sautee time: 5 minutes
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 bunch of radish & greens (I’m not sure what they are really called)
½ onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
¼ tsp red chili pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
1. Remove the radish bulbs. Coarsely chop the greens.
2. In a large non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the onions sauté until translucent and add garlic. Toss just until fragrant (less than 1 minute).
3. Add the radishes and sauté for 1 minute. Add the greens and cook until they wilt (2 minutes or so). Add the rice wine vinegar and chili pepper flakes (if you want some heat). Toss and add salt and pepper if needed.
Serve as a side with grilled or sautéed fish, chicken or meat.
