Quick and Easy Berry Sauce

Quick & Easy Berry Sauce

Hands on time: 10 minutes
Cooling time: 10 minutes

Makes 2 cups or so


½ bag frozen berries (or, when the season is right – fresh)
Juice and zest of ½ lemon
2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar

Put everything in a saucepan and simmer over low heat until first, there is a lot of juice in the pan and then it thickens. Taste for seasoning.

Great served over pancakes, ice cream, pound cake...the options are endless.
