Frederique’s Fabulous Garlic Steak

Prep time: 10 minutes …actually it takes only the time to heat the grill
Grill time: 8-10 minutes
1 filet or strip loin steak (4-6oz/125-175g)
1-2 large cloves garlic, minced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
Pinch of salt
1 tsp butter, slightly softened
1. Preheat grill and lightly salt the steak. Grill steak to the desired doneness. (anywhere from 3-6 minutes per side, depending on how you like your steak done. I use my Griddler set to Griddle & Sear and spray with Mazola Simplicity or PAM for easier cleaning.
2. Meanwhile crush the garlic onto a dinner plate and top with the butter. When the steak is done, simply lay it on top. Grind some fresh pepper over top and serve.
The surprise factor is when you cut a piece and pop it into your mouth...the buttery garlic has quite a kick!
