Greek-style Lamb Burgers

Greek-style Lamb Burgers

Hands-on time:
5 minutes
grill time: 10 minutes
Makes 4 burgers

Ingredients:
1 lb/450 g ground lamb (or whatever ground meat you favor)
½ onion, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1-2 tbsp each, fresh parsley & oregano
Salt & pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 egg, beaten
1 heaping tbsp Dijon mustard
¼ cup fresh bread crumbs (I used Panko crumbs)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
(I meant to add ½ cup crumbled feta, but somehow in the rush I forgot. I bet it would be delicious)

4 hamburger buns

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, add everything together. Toss gently until everything is combined. Shape into 4 patties.

2. I love using my Griddler (well I’d LOVE to have a BBQ, but…I don’t have one). You can also do this on a grill pan. Set the Griddler on Grill and Sear or heat the grill pan over medium-high heat until hot, add enough oil just to keep the meat from sticking. (I spray Mazola’s Simplicity canola oil spray). Add the patties and turn once or twice for 10 minutes or so.

Once they’re done, place on buns and use your favorite condiment. My choice is Dijon mustard and Hellman’s new olive oil mayonnaise.
