Awesome Asian Salad

Awesome Asian Salad served here with Seared Sesame Tuna
Adapted from Bonnie Stern’s Essentials of Home Cooking

Prep time: less than 15 minutes

Serves 4-6

4 cups cabbage (Napa is best but we used red & white cabbage), shredded
1 carrot, grated
2 tbsp thinly sliced pickled ginger, slivered
2 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp fresh cilantro/coriander, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp sesame oil

1. In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, green onion, pickled ginger, carrots and cilantro.

2. In a small bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients. Add the dressing to the cabbage mix. Toss well and serve.
